Pre-paid for my 14" iBook G4 today. $2,399 including: AirPort Express (wireless router) and a Logitech mouse. I'll have it on Tuesday. WOOHOOO!
Yeah, yeah... I didn't get the fancy one, the MacBook Pro. It came out to $2,762 by itself, after taxes; no wireless router or mouse. No thanks.

Hey, with this dual boot idea, I may just be tempted to find out moe about a Mac laptop...
The Dark Side is calling...
For now, though, I will settle for the $200 laptop I bid on...
Pascal
Doesn't everyone have dual boots? Except those one-legged folks, of course. ;)
Hopefully will have my iBook on Tuesday so I will gush about it then.
Noice... now you can call me darth spurkis ;-).
But one word of caution: I don't reckon you can dual boot if you've got a PowerPC (G3/G4/G5). I've not tried, but I imagine Windows will only work on an Intel-based mac.
If I wanted Windows, I'd have gotten a Windows machine. Can't dual-boot on iBook because it's using Mac's processor, but you can dual-boot on the MacBook Pro which is dual-core Intel.
Woah... A Mac.
It all begins with the charm of the ipod, doesn't it?
BTW, when are you leaving for Japan again?
7-9 weeks, approx. :) And yeah... it started with the iPod. Damn you, Apple! Why must you make computing so damn easy! CURSE YOOOOU!
How you been, R.?
I'm pretty good actually - starting a one-year contract next month, nourishing my latest obsession and designing more cat-experiments.
7-9 weeks will go by pretty quickly.
Know any Kanji?
