Have passport, will travel

Just got my passport. Yay! But... I forgot to ask and pay extra for the 48 page one instead of the standard 24 page. Bleh. Oh well.

Also swung by Ottawa's Mac store and I'm a convert. Depending on whether or not I can negotiate birthday "back-pay" out of my parents, I'll go for the MacBook Pro, a sweet little piece of machinery.

That's it for now.

Excellent! My evil plan to convert all my friends to Macs is coming to fruition! Soon I will have my army of people with aesthetically pleasing computers...

Yay for passports too! That's something I really ought to get done myself.

I just can't get over the functionality. It's all so damn intuitive and useful (as in utilities and features that people would want and would use!). I love it.

Unfortunately, you'll be the only person I can easily iChat with. :) You'll be shpecial!

But I thought I was shpecial already...

Plus there's always Steve. He's the original convert.

I didn't know Steven uses a Mac? Rockin'. Then we can have a menage a troi. *wink wink, nudge nudge*

Um. Might have to pass on the incest. But thanks for offering!

Yeah, he's been a Mac convert for 4 or 5 years now.

Actually, I was talking about 3-way iChat...

O.O

Seriously. A Mac?

I LOVE what the Mac can do. I hate the limitations imposed by the fact that many software vendors don't cater to the Mac. AND I love to tinker with my PC. So Intel-based PC I remain... Wait. The new Mac is running on an Intel chip. WHat to say? Uhm. I would hate to say I am a Microsoft convert. I CAN run Linux on my PC, and there are some new OS in the way...

Bottom line Pat: Can your new laptop run Dark Age of Camelot? (Or whatever new MMORPG you are addicted to at the time?)

So, what's the plan for us to chat once you go Japanese? GMail chat? ICQ? (I haven't been on ICQ in ages!)

No, I don't think the Mac can play DAoC, which is part of the reason I'm drawn to it. Last thing I want to be doing in Japan is playing that damn thing, or any game. I want to be writing again, thinking, learning, teaching, laughing. Not plugged in to a game.

And yeah, Adium is pretty cool. Lots of Apple applications to make use of Windows-based apps/software.

Double yeah!

1) Didn't know about the dual boot! Apple has seen the light! The power of Mac OS with the versatility of Windows-based apps!

2) Patrick is kicking off his game addition in pursuit of enlightnment!
